Results of the research cruises of FRV Walther Herwig to South America

As announced in contribution 77 of the below list PecesCriollos by the end of 2025 has established this Walther Herwig library.
Although the so far published contributions have mainly treated with fish, it should be noted that this serial by no means shall be restricted to results from ichthyology. Several papers have already dealed with invertebrates and any contribution on non-fish organisms collected by the research vessel Walther Herwig in the Southwest Atlantic Ocean will be much appreciated.

from the abstract of Nr. 77:
The serial ‘Results of the research cruises of FRV Walther Herwig to South America’ was published between 1967 and 2010. A recent comparison between the database of the collection of fishes housed at ZMH in Hamburg and the respective last faunal lists of marine fishes from Argentina and Uruguay revealed that the ZMH collection contains specimens which represent dozens of first records or at least first evidence-based records for the Exclusive Economic Zones of these countries and, in addition, for the Malvinas/Falkland Islands. To publish these records, the present contribution shall resurrect the serial and thus, continue with what used to be a story of success in the past.
